The Annular Solar Eclipse of 2027 February 06, .begins at local sunrise in the south Pacific Ocean and reaches land in Southern Chile. Argentina is then crossed before the crosses the Atlantic Ocean. Just before the African sunset, the antumbra once again strikes land, with only the edge of the antumbra being seen in Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria. The coast of Ghana sees a maximum annular eclipse at17h52 when magnitude is 93.9% and duration approximately 5m 12.7s.
Apart from locations in South America, the only other land-based observation spots will be in West Africa, in the above mentioned countries. A sunset annular over the Atlantic Ocean could be quite spectacular.
